Winston Churchill is looked at as one of the great leaders
of the Western world in the face of extreme adversity. Serving as
British Prime Minister to the UK from 1940 to 1945, Churchill’s
perseverance and resourcefulness were tested against Nazi Germany.
However, it is his politically incorrect comments about Muslims that the
left has attempted to squash.
In his famous speech
“The River War: An Historical Account of the Reconquest of the Soudan,”
Churchill’s study of the Ottoman Empire and Islamic history since the
time of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad were summed up in a bold oration
that puts Obama, Cameron, Merkel, and the leaders of the free West to
shame.
How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia (rabies) in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries, improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement, the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.Individual Muslims may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome.
This bombardment of truth is undeniably different from our
own liberal leaders who claim that true Islam means peace, tolerance,
and multiculturalism. However, the
soldier-turned-journalist-turned-prime-minister could not deny Islam’s
aggressive history and the violent verses found within the Quran.
Churchill, however, later lost his passionate fury against
Islam during World War II. Instead, his focus upon the Nazi forces and
the Axis powers caused him to become more lax towards Muslim immigrants
to the West. However, he never changed his stance on considering Islam
to be inherently evil.
Instead of Nazis, the West is threatened once again by the
Islamization of which young Churchill warned so long ago. His own
country has been fundamentally transformed to comply with Sharia.
Sadly, it is considered hate speech to even quote this bold
statement by Churchill, the nation’s most prominent former prime
minister, as British politician Paul Golding soon found out. Golding was
quickly arrested
for reading this same speech in a public square, a shameful turn from
Britain’s once proud patriotism to cowering in the face of the minority.
As Muslim populations quickly grow in the West, freedom and
democracy are on the verge of fading away at the tolerance of intolerant
Sharia law. Men like Churchill are few and far between, but their words
are the only weapons with which we can battle as of yet, and when they
are gone, all that will be left is war.
