This past week, we have heard stories of utter tragedy and despair concerning our law enforcement officials. The shocking murder of Deputy Darren Goforth, who was shot execution style while pumping gas, sparked outraged across the nation as police officers feared that anyone of them could be next.

However, where there was terror, there came hope, as one teenager’s startling gesture while a police officer was pumping gas has sparked a movement in stark contrast from the other movements causing the turmoil in our nation. Recently Mad World News reported on the commendable act of McKinley Zoellner, who stepped forward and offered to watch Officer Tommi Kelley-Jones’s “6” while she was pumping gas in Houston, Texas.

Just a couple of days later, another officer shared on Facebook what happened to him while pumping gas into his patrol car. Officer Keedy an Indianapolis, Indiana police officer wrote:

After they thanked Keedy for all that he does, the young girl informed him that the mother-daughter duo would not leave until he was done fueling up so that no “bad guys” snuck up on him.

Keedy closed his post saying, “It’s because of families like this I go to work every night! And no matter if you hate me or not, you call and need help, I’ll still give my life protecting you. Fight the good fight sheepdogs, families like this want us around!”

Keedy’s wife, Lisa, commented on the post, thanking the community for their support. She said, “Love seeing the community reaching out to police officers in a positive way. At a time when there is much negativity against law enforcement, it is really appreciated to see people who still care about them. Thanks to the little girl and her family for being kind to my officer.”

These are the stories that need to be shared with everyone, the ones that show people being a unified community. Every day our police officers serve and protect the citizens in their communities across this nation. Isn’t it time we showed them our gratitude by watching over them too?

Thousands of women are being kidnapped, sold, raped, and married off in sham nikah weddings that bind Islamic State militants to their captives under Sharia law. These women and children find themselves pregnant, shamed, beaten, and sexually abused by the most bloodthirsty deviants since the time of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad.

Although many of these severely abused girls find that suicide or death by jihadist is the only way out of their hellish existence, one woman was so scorned after an ISIS commander allowed his men to take turns raping her that she plotted an elaborate scheme of revenge against him.

Abna 24 reports that an Iraqi woman, who was taken prisoner by a senior commander of the Takfiri ISIS terrorist faction in Nineveh, brutally slaughtered her captor. The top leader had forced the woman to act as a sex slave for the soldiers under his command. From that day forward, the woman sought to avenge her innocence.

In an interview with an al-Sumaria satellite television network, spokesman of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) Saeed Mamouzini said that the woman killed Abu Anas three months after he passed her around to his comrades, IBTimes reports.

The report comes just two days after ISIS militants brought foreign women to Mosul, Iraq to use them as sex slaves, following an order by Caliphate leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

At least 15 captive women were executed near Mosul for refusing to marry ISIS jihadists. Another report revealed that 19 women were slaughtered in the same location one month earlier for refusing to submit as sex slaves. Seven female residents of Fallujah were murdered after Islamic State militants gang-raped them as part of their booty from conquest.

Although life under the Islamic regime is insufferable, sex slaves rarely attempt to escape because of the gruesome fate that awaits them if they are caught fleeing. One slave explained that ISIS made an example of a girl who tried to escape, cutting off her legs after they found her.

As barbaric as this behavior is, it is wholly rooted in Islamic teaching. In fact, slaughter, conquest, and sex slavery were practiced by Muhammad and is widely known throughout the Muslim world.

Muhammad owned many slaves, forcing some of the most beautiful women to marry him even as he ordered their husbands and families to be executed before their very eyes. His capture and rape of Rayhana and Safiyya were so brutal and unconventional that even his closest companions were unsure if the Jewish women were to be considered wives, concubines, or sex slaves.

In Quran 33:50, Muhammad commanded that Muslim men may have sex with their wives, concubines, or sex slaves as booty of war. Only certain relatives and married Muslim women were forbidden from them. Even married captives, whose husbands were still alive, were permitted to be kept as sex slaves or taken as wives if they converted to Islam.

Muslims are commanded by Allah to spread Islam through war, forced conversion, jizya, slavery, and even lying. All are justified within the Quran to bring about the ultimate goal of establishing Sharia law in every nation and bringing about Dar al-Salam, the house of peace.

Just as Muslims have for 1,400 years, ISIS has made their plans clear and unmistakable. They will not stop butchering until they succeed in implementing the Caliphate throughout the world, starting in the birthplace of Islam. It is time we stop ignoring them and start taking them at their word.

An incredibly entertaining story of criminal stupidity is coming to us out of Alaska today, in a report about one woman who was so desperate to have what was inside of a police car that she boldly stole the entire vehicle from right under a state trooper’s nose.

On Wednesday, officers arrested Joshua Watford, 38, after receiving a tip that he was in a pawn shop in Big Lake. Joshua had previously been arrested for driving under the influence but had failed to show up for his court-mandated substance abuse classes, so apparently there was a warrant for his arrest.

Watford’s wife, 28-year-old Amber, was reportedly with him when he was arrested, handcuffed, and placed in the back of the trooper’s patrol car. It was at that moment that opportunity presented itself for Amber to do what might possibly be the boldest and dumbest thing she will ever do in her life.

A passing motorist stopped to talk to the officer about an unrelated event, and while his back was turned, Amber Watford allegedly took advantage of the distraction, jumped in the driver’s seat of the patrol car, and sped away with her husband handcuffed in the back seat.

Although what Amber did was stupid and reckless, I would have loved to see the officer’s face as he realized his patrol car was racing down the road without him in it. I don’t imagine his superiors were too pleased with him. More than that though, I think when all of her penalties are levied, Amber Watford will wish she had thought twice about going on her criminal adventure. However, there are quite a few people who think she deserves the “Best Wife of the Year” award.

According to Newser, the officer’s patrol car was found — undamaged — about an hour after the great escape, along with Joshua’s handcuffs still in the back seat, but the couple was nowhere around. A search involving a helicopter and a K-9 unit was launched in cooperation with Anchorage police but to no avail. The couple had eluded capture, though not for long.

Thursday, police received a tip that the couple was at a home in Wasilla, so they closed in on the property and took both Joshua and Amber into custody. As of Friday, Joshua is still behind bars, but Amber was released on a $20,000 bond. She faces a host of charges, including vehicle theft, hindering prosecution, and criminal mischief.

Whether you think Amber’s actions were idiotically criminal or brilliantly ballsy, one thing is clear — she obviously loves her husband very much. Because no one was hurt and no property was damaged, I can’t help but chuckle at the visual image that I get from reading about this couple’s misadventure. “Wife of the Year” award? Perhaps she does deserve it!

California is one of the states with the most draconian and tyrannical gun laws in the entire country. Other than New York, there is not a state in which it is harder for a law-abiding citizen to get a gun and use it to defend themselves. Because of that, criminals know that their targets will almost always be unarmed and sitting ducks, making crime almost impossible to control in the major cities and suburbs of the Golden State.

What makes things more difficult is when the criminals outnumber their victims. Such was the case in a recent incident that took place in Santa Ana, California. The homeowner, Erickson Dumaual, called police around 4 am on Friday morning, claiming that two burglars were rooting around his property. Dumaual got tired of waiting for the police to respond to his call, so he made the decision to go investigate the trespassing incident on his own. That is when things took a more violent turn.

Two men proceeded to demand, at gun point, that Mr. Dumaual take them inside and show them where he kept his valuables. Once Dumaual took the men into his bedroom, he devised a plan. As one thief began rummaging through his bedroom drawers, the perpetrator with the gun took his attentions off Dumaual. That was a big mistake. Dumaual sprung into action. He attacked the man holding the gun and was able to wrestle the firearm away from him, gaining possession of the weapon.

Dumaual is a fierce self-defense student in the Israeli fight system called Krav Maga. His training enabled him to remove the gun from the thug and caused the other to flee from his home. Dumaual chased the previously armed thief to his backyard, cornering the man by his pool. He then said the criminal lunged at him, so he fired the gun and shot the thug in the leg — with his own gun. Dumaual used punches and elbowing to keep the thug subdued until police arrived at the scene to take the injured man away.

“He came at me. So I had to pull the trigger,” explained Dumaual. “He deserved it. He deserved every bit of it. I’d do it again if it happened again,” he said.

Unfortunately, not all Californians are Krav Maga experts. Erickson Dumaual did what he had to do without a gun in a state where criminals appear to always have the upper hand, thanks to the overly strict regulations on firearms. Crime will continue to increase in California until the good people can legitimately start defending themselves. Until then, would-be thieves would do well to realize that good people are tired of being victims and will fight back.
