Former Solomon Islands premier arrested on corruption charges

The former premier of the Solomon Islands province of Temotu has been arrested on corruption charges.

Father Brown Beu was arrested along with the former provincial secretary, Samuel Kafukesa.

The charges relate to the granting of logging rights and the transfer of profits between 2015 and 2017.
