A child who went missing in the sea at a Raglan surf beach has died.
Police said they were alerted just after 3.30pm today at Ngarunui Beach.
A rescue helicopter along with police and Coast Guard search the area until the child was found in the harbour at about 5pm.
Attempts to resuscitate the child were unsuccessful.
