After Kanye West went on a Twitter tirade against Drake, his wife came forward to defend him and their family against any alleged threats Drake made against them.
“@drake Never threaten my husband or our family. He paved the way for there to be a Drake,” Kim tweeted on Friday. “My husband is the most brilliant person, the most genius person that I know. He has broken so many boundaries, everything from music, stage design, fashion and culture and will continue to change the world.”
Kanye has had a year full of controversies, including calling slavery a “choice,” but his wife rarely steps in or comments on his statements at those moments. But if someone is going to make a threat against her family, she’s going to involve herself.
It’s unclear what exactly Drake threatened, but West tweeted that Drake called him with a threat. He added, “So drake if anything happens to me or anyone from my family you are the first suspect— So cut the tough talk.”
While Kim came forward to address the internet melee, Ariana Grande also attempted to insert herself into the conversation by using the feud to plug her single “Imagine.”
