Campbell Soup names permanent CEO, president

Campbell Soup named Mark Clouse as its permanent president and CEO on Thursday to replace interim CEO Keith McLoughlin.

McLoughlin took over the roles in May after Denise Morrison resigned. Campbell Soup said Clouse and McLoughlin will both maintain seats on the board of directors.

Clouse has more than 20 years of experience in the food industry, with management roles at Pinnacle, Mondelez International and Kraft Foods.

"Mark Clouse is an outstanding leader with a proven track record of operational excellence, and we are excited to name him as Campbell's next President and CEO," Les Vinney, chairman of the board, said.

Clouse said he plans to work toward "sustainable, long-term growth" for the company.
