The US Federal Communication Commission
has approved the acquisition of Bluesky Communications assets in
American Samoa by Fiji-based Amalgamated Telecom Holdings Limited.

ATH still needs approval from the federal government's Committee of Foreign Investment in the United States.
The Fiji company said that with the FCC approval it expected the other agency to quickly sign off, allowing it to conclude the Bluesky transaction with its current owners, the Spanish company, Amper.
