Scary halloween reveller sparks emergency call-out to Wellington elevator

What at first appeared to be the scene of a gruesome crime in Wellington this morning, has turned out to be something far less worrying.

Emergency services were called to an address on Vivian Street just before 7am after a male, in a nurses outfit, was found in an elevator unresponsive and covered in blood.

After some prodding, it turned out the man had passed out after drinking too much.

The nurses outfit was a costume for a halloween party and the blood was fake.

The man was treated at the scene.
