
The humanitarian organisation said in a statement that “one civilian has been killed every three hours in fighting in Yemen since the beginning of August, with many more people succumbing to disease and hunger”.
Oxfam said that according to figures collected by the Civilian Impact Monitoring Project, which is linked to the United Nations’ Global Protection Group as many as 575 civilians, including 136 children were killed in the war between 1 August and 15 October.
According to the United Nations, since March 2015 the conflict in Yemen has killed more than 10,000 people and caused the worst humanitarian crisis in the world.
