Nigeria runs low on snakebite antidote

Thousands of people are bitten by snakes in Nigeria every year, and many people die or lose their limbs because of a shortage of antivenoms.

Snake bites kill more than 100,000 people every year.

The World Health Organization (WHO) says reducing the number of fatalities is a ''global health priority''.

Many victims are in Nigeria, where, as Al Jazeera's Ahmed Idris reports, doctors are struggling to save lives.
