In the upcoming
episode of Deadliest Catch season 12, rookie Captain Josh Harris will be
in sole control of the vessel Cornelia Marie, which recently underwent a
massive overhaul. Harris and his partner Captain Casey McManus will
need to catch more crabs this season to pay for the renovations made to
the vessel.
Episode 4 is titled Swedish Twins, which will also see the
23-year-old Captain Sean Dwyer, of the vessel Brenna A get a taste of
the Bering Sea. The wild weather, mechanical failures coupled with the
inexperienced crew will haunt all the fleets pursuing the king crab
bounty.
When asked about the renovations made to Cornelia Marie, Harris told TVRuckus:
"I am happy with the changes. Obviously the boat interior and exterior
look much better. But having new equipment eliminated a lot of the
stress worrying about mechanical failures."
Harris also dished some advice for those who want to join
the crab fishing industry. "School is incredibly important – you need to
stay in school. Anyone who considers fishing should have a backup
plan," he said.
In the previous episode,
Harris found himself in trouble and called on veteran Captain Wild Bill
Wichrowski of vessel Cape Caution. Bill was not happy with the rookie
captain. When Harris asked about Bill's location, the veteran captain
replied: "You know what this is getting really thin buddy. I told you I
was at 20 and 0.6."
It seemed like Harris may have made an enemy of Bill, as after their
conversation ended via the ship-to-shore radio, Bill said: "He thinks
I'm a f*****g idiot. F**k you Josh Harris."
Deadliest Catch season 12 episode 4 airs on 19 April at 9pm ET/PT on the Discovery Channel. You can watch the episode live by click here (the link is available only in the US).
