Mirror's Edge Catalyst Gets Minimum and Recommended System Requirements

Video game developer DICE and publisher Electronic Arts are getting ready for both the open beta testing period for Mirror's Edge Catalyst and the full launch of the free-running-focused title, and they are offering PC fans a look at the minimum and the recommended system requirements for the title.

Those who want just to see what new challenges Faith will have to face will have to run at least Windows 7 64-bit with the most recent Service Pack, with an Intel i3-3250 or AMD FX-6350 processor, and 6 GB of RAM.

25 GB of free space are required to install Mirror's Edge Catalyst, and when it comes to the graphics department, gamers will have to own an Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 Ti 2GB or AMD Radeon R9 270x or better card.

The recommended system requirements for the video game mention Windows 10 64-bit and an Intel Core i7-3770 at 3.4 GHz or AMD FX-8350 at 4.0 GHz processor with 16 GB of RAM, which is quite a lot even for a modern game.

The recommended graphics cards that DICE is insisting on are either Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 4GB or AMD Radeon R9 280x 3GB.

Mirror's Edge Catalyst will be launched on May 26 and will be offered on the PlayStation 4 from Sony and the Xbox One from Microsoft as well as on the PC.

Faith will have a bigger city to run through

Mirror's Edge Catalyst will offer a five-day-long closed beta that will start on April 22, and those who are chosen to take part will be notified with a code before its debut, with the developers asking them to make sure that they have up-to-date drivers in order participate.

Those who are included will be able to experience a number of core missions and side quests and will also be able to see the social play system that will power multiplayer in action.

DICE and Electronic Arts are also saying that they are delivering the game ahead of launch for those who have an Origin subscription and that they will also be able to pick up the game at a 10 percent discount.

Mirror's Edge Catalyst will take gamers to the city of Glass, and Faith, the main character, will be able to use an enhanced free-running system to navigate the city and reach her goals, with less focus on firearms and a bigger one on the use of momentum.
