Sia stole the show at Coachella 2016, with a visually striking set that combined performance art with pop anthems. Saturday night's much-hyped headliners Guns N' Roses fell flat, reminding fans how great they used to be. Lead singer Axl Rose, who performed sitting down because of a leg injury, will be touring with AC/DC later this year; their guitarist Angus Young made a guest appearance alongside Slash.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is held in the Southern California desert over two consecutive weekends. The weather and its proximity to Los Angeles make it more glamorous than your average festival. It's not exactly a muddy field in the Midlands – more Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
