Viral videos are the wave of the future for making thoughts
known and spreading a message, and one Marine has decided to use it as a
way to grab attention from one person in particular. His target is the
one and only, Ms. Rhonda Rousey. His video unleashes a simple question
directed at a woman many of us recognize by not only name, but by her
face and MMA successes as well.
With the backing of the World Wide Web, Jarrod Haschert, a
U.S. Marine, is grabbing the bull by the horns and trying to steer life
in the direction of the lady that has captivated his attention.
Haschert has taken to the Internet to propose his question to Rousey,
but will she oblige his request?
Haschert is using the exact same method as Sergeant Scott
Moore, the man who successfully asked Mila Kunis out in a video that
went viral. Kunis ended up going to the Marine Corps ball with Moore,
and Haschert was looking for the same outcome from his lady of interest.
The video is simple and short, at only 34 seconds, but
that’s all it took for the brave Marine to present Rousey with one
question. Haschert doesn’t have a date for the Marine Corps ball in
North Carolina, so in comes a video to ask the woman he wants on his arm
to go with him.
Rousey has become a household name after making her
phenomenal debut in the UFC as their poster female fighter, and she’s
garnered quite the fan base. She is known for her quick fights that,
more often than not, end up with the other woman knocked out in the
octagon, and she has Haschert’s full attention.
Celebrity crushes are nothing new and will never be a thing
of the past. Haschert’s bold move shows us that there is nothing
shameful in using any mean necessary to try to get the girl of your
dreams to go out on a date with you, so long as the attempt is
respectful. Haschert has been extremely respectful to Rousey, and he had
better be — that girl can throw a punch!
Will Rousey oblige? According to Fox Sports,
she has just accepted his invitation to attend the ball. Rousey admits
she has no idea how to contact the Marine, but she did agree to take him
up on his offer. Congratulations to both of you!
Rousey has proven herself a class act. It’s refreshing to
see someone of fame showing gratitude to the fans who got her there —
especially when that fan is none other than a U.S. Marine.
