Sarah Palin has done it again. She is riling up the overly
sensitive left with comments that really get to the heart of the issue.
Liberals are now claiming that her most recent comments are actually
racist. It appears that one cannot talk about the issue of illegal
immigration in the United States without being coined a racist.
Palin appeared on CNN’s State of the Union with
Jake Tapper on Sunday for an interview. Palin’s comments are on the
heels of Trump’s statements condemning Republican candidates for
speaking Spanish while on the campaign trial. Her statements appear to
be in response to this particular incident as well.
“I think we can send a message and say, ‘You want to be in America? A. You better be here legally or you’re out of here. B. When you’re here, let’s speak American.’”
Sarah Palin has never been one to mince words, and she’s
shown she is a smart intelligent woman. She is not, however, a racist.
Palin simply had the guts to say on television what the rest of us are
thinking. It’s also interesting that she’s being dubbed a racist for
that particular comment, yet she also said this.
“I don’t know what choosing to speak English or Spanish in a conversation, what that would have to do — somebody opposing it — with tolerance or not,” Palin continued. “I think it’s a benefit of Jeb Bush to be able to be so fluent in Spanish because we have a large and wonderful Hispanic population that is helping to build America, and that’s good, and that’s a great relationship and connection that he has with them through his wife and through his family connections.”
Sarah Palin is a true American patriot, so of course, leave
it to the left to make her into a monster over a few harmless comments
about spoken languages. And she’s right. We speak a different version of
English than those that speak it in Europe. As a matter of fact, even
Facebook has the distinction of “American English” to choose as a
language in your “about” section. We all know, if it’s on social media,
it must be true. So saying, “speak American,” isn’t so far-fetched or
“stupid,” now is it?
