Cop Denied Service At Arby’s, Department SHOCKED By What Happened Next

A Florida officer was worn out after a long shift and went to a local Arby’s to get a bite to eat, but he was denied. However, just a little while after, something happened that left the entire department speechless.
The incident occurred on September 1, when a Pembroke Pines Police officer went to a local Arby’s for dinner and was denied because of his uniform, according to a media release from the department. The incident sparked outrage among the force – rightfully so – but just a short time after, they were treated with an incredible surprise.
“I am offended and appalled that an individual within our community would treat a police officer in such a manner. It is unacceptable, and I will be contacting the Arby’s CEO to demand an apology,” stated PPPD Chief Dan Giustino, according to the department release.
The department didn’t go as far as to blame any particular movement for the denial of service, but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out why it happened. They received an outpouring of support from the community after word got around about what happened.
“We are very proud of the partnerships we have built within our city, and for an incident like this to have happened is very disappointing for everyone,” said Chief Giustino.
But before anybody even knew about it, something happened at department headquarters that brought a smile to all of their faces. Apparently, the release said, a mother and her little girl visited the headquarters, but it wasn’t to complain. No, instead they had with them a batch of freshly made cookies accompanied by heartfelt smiles to give officers a warm “thank you” for the work they do in the community.
Granted, it was a small gesture for the officers, but it was still sweet nonetheless, and it wasn’t solicited by any means. After what had happened just prior to the woman showing up, it was exactly what the force needed to renew their faith in the community.
As far as Arby’s is concerned, the Right Scoop is reporting that upper management from the fast-food chain personally reached out to the chief to offer their apologies.
As a follow up to this incident, Chief Dan Giustino contacted the Arby’s corporation via telephone. Immediately following, Arby’s Chief Executive Officer, Paul Brown, and Senior Vice President of Operations, Scott Boatwright, contacted Chief Giustino to convey their sincere apologizes on behalf of their organization.
Both gentlemen assured Chief Giustino that the employee’s behavior was unacceptable and not representative of the company’s values. Chief Giustino was appreciative and accepted their apology and now considers this matter closed.
However, there’s no word on whether that employee lost their job. Hopefully they did, since anything less wouldn’t be acceptable.
While the story ended up having a happy ending, the fact it happened to begin with shows the current climate that law enforcement officers are facing in our nation thanks to progressives demonizing them at every turn. These men and women volunteer to put themselves in harm’s way to keep their communities safe, yet this is how they’re treated by some people.
It’s sickening, and it needs to stop. The problem is that it doesn’t look like it’s going to be stopping anytime soon, and in fact, it seems to be getting worse with time.
Kudos to the kind woman and her daughter who helped to lift the department’s spirits. That’s what we need to see more of in order to counter the widespread negativity being thrown at police.
