In St. Louis County, Thursday night was one of the most
harrowing days that one young man has faced. At only 11-years-old, his
biggest problem so far was most likely having enough time to do his
homework. As he and his four-year-old sister were enjoying an evening in
their home, their mother was away.
While they were alone, two suspects, who tried to break into
this same home earlier that same day, came to the house. Unfortunately,
the situation escalated and one suspect entered the home, where the
other two young children were alone. The 11-year-old shot
the 16-year-old suspect and killed him in the foyer of the house. After
police arrived, they found the 16-year-old deceased from the gunshot
wound on the floor in the home.
The police have already painstakingly gone through all the
questions because a gun was involved. They know that it was purchased by
the boy’s mother, legally, and she said she bought it for home defense.
The mother and the two children are cooperating with the police in the
investigation.
CNN, of course, is asking all the wrong questions. There, we
see the blatant victim blaming by the obvious liberal leaning media
outlet. They laid claim that they had no idea why the kids were left
alone or why there was an available gun.
It wasn’t immediately known Thursday why the two were left alone in the first place or why the 11-year-old had access to the firearm. –CNN
These are the wrong things to ponder, CNN. But let’s explain
it to them logically, shall we? The older boy entered the home of
another person without permission. This person had made other attempts
to break in earlier; therefore, this older teenager wanted to, at the
very least, violate the property rights of another person. When people
know that their property and potentially their life is being threatened
by a thug, they tend to want to defend themselves. This goes for even
11-year-olds. Access to a firearm may have saved his life and the life
of his sister.
One neighbor claims the older boy never entered the home.
However, the 16-year-old was also found dead in the home by police, so
neighbor accounts that contradict the police report of the deceased are
highly inaccurate at best. If he was dead in the home, he had entered
the home. There are no reports from the police claiming that the body of
the would-be-criminal was moved. Besides, should we believe an
11-year-old could move a dead body or would even think to do so after
the traumatic events that had just occurred?
The proper questions should include as follows: Why did the
16-year-old want in the home so badly? Why didn’t he give up after
failing earlier? Did he have a criminal record? These are adequate
questions. Question the motive of the one that was wrong. The
11-year-old has not been determined to be in the wrong, and he used a
gun in the manner it was intended — to keep others from imposing their
will on him.
