Christian Man Marries Muslim Woman, In-Laws Deliver Special Wedding “Gift”

In Islam, it is not only religiously immoral for a Muslim to marry a non-Muslim, it is dangerous. The religious side of Islam equates entering into a marriage contract with an unbeliever to committing adultery, and the legislative side of Islam commands that the offenders must be put to death for their sin.

Islam is unlike any other faith, in that sin is not regulated by the believer’s spiritual temperance, but by the executioner’s hands.

Star-crossed lovers from two different faiths suffering a tragic fate might sound like something from a romantic Shakespearean play, but in 21st-century Pakistan, it is anything but bittersweet.

Nadia was raised as a Muslim from the time of her birth, as is traditional in Islam. However, in her early 20s, she chose to leave her religion and accept Jesus Christ as her savior, according to The Gospel Herald. She married 28-year-old Aleem Masih in 2014, and the two began their new lives as the minority in a country that is 97 percent Muslim.

Word immediately spread to the woman’s family, enraging them for having such shame brought upon their name. As such, the family vowed to avenge their honor.

Although the penalty for apostasy is death, the Muslim family simply could not wait for a Sharia court to hand down justice to their daughter and her new husband — so they decided to deliver it themselves.

“The couple fled to Narang Mandi, some 60 kilometers [37 miles] away from Lahore, as Nadia’s Muslim family launched a manhunt for them to avenge the shame their daughter had brought upon them by recanting Islam and marrying a Christian,” attorney Aneeqa Maria of The Voice Society told Morning Star News.

“The Muslim men first brutally tortured the couple with fists and kicks and then thrice shot Aleem Masih – one bullet hit him in his ankle, the second in the ribs while the third targeted his face,” the attorney said. “Nadia was shot in the abdomen.”

Nadia Masih remains in the hospital in critical condition.

Aleem died from his injuries, while Nadia was rushed to the hospital after police found her still breathing. Her family left her alive, believing that she was already dead from their torture.

“The attackers returned to their village and publicly proclaimed that they had avenged their humiliation and restored the pride of the Muslims by killing the couple in cold blood,” attorney Aneeqa Maria said. “Nadia’s brother, Azhar, then presented himself before the police and confessed to having killed his sister and her Christian husband.”

When Maria and her legal team arrived at the hospital to visit Nadia, there was a dangerous mob outside of the building.

“The mob, some of them armed with weapons, was shouting furious anti-Christian slogans,” Maria said. “They were also praising Azhar for restoring the pride of the Muslim Ummah [community] and saying that he had earned his place in paradise for killing an ‘infidel.'”

Nadia remains in critical condition after having two bullets surgically removed from her abdomen. She could face charges of blasphemy if she survives, a common accusation by scorned Muslims.

Aleem Masih was killed after being shot three times by his Muslim in-laws.

Nadia’s family were never taken into police custody, as they were granted pre-arrest bail. Maria explained that the Muslim family and Islamist groups are threatening her and Aleem’s mourning family to drop the case, but she refuses to back down from pursuing trial.

Still, in Sharia court, it is very unlikely that the Muslim murderers will receive a proper punishment since honor killing is very common and often justified. Christians do not have the right to testify in Sharia court because of their infidel status, and they must have a Muslim attorney, witness, or advocate present their case.

This racism and hatred is not simply a cultural difference. It is enriched by Islam and saturated by the Sharia law by which all Muslims must adhere.

Aleem and Nadia’s story is further proof of Islam’s intolerance towards diversity, multiculturalism, and progress, all the supposed values of the liberal left. Islam is not only dangerous to the minorities that live in their countries, it threatens the very freedom and democracy that protects it in Western nations.

Through immigration, conversion, and birth rate, Muslims have waged population jihad on democratic countries to implement Sharia law. Although the West continues to allow entrance to these Islamic aggressors, the non-profit charity organization Rescue Christians is taking in persecuted Christians like Nadia.

Though they have been turned away in Europe and America, there are still a few who are rising up to save the innocent from slaughter. As long as there is Islam, there will always be Christians who are persecuted, enslaved, and slaughtered in the name of Allah. Fortunately, there are still crusaders to rise against evil.
