Photos: Ali Modu Sheriff Enters Maiduguri with Hundreds of Soldiers, SSS and Police Escorts

We had earlier reported that during ex-governor of Borno and implicated sponsor of Boko Haram, Ali Modu Sheriff’s visit to Borno Yesterday, hundreds of police, army, and SSS, with all types of sophisticated army vehicles, tanks, battalion trucks and all other army instruments meant for battling Boko Haram, were provided for his pleasure.

Meanwhile the security of the state governor, Kashim Shettima has been withdrawn since the governor mentioned that the government was not doing well against the terrorists. The State governor has been left using Civilian-JTF as his security.

Modu Sheriff promised Goodluck Jonathan, Nigeria’s president that he will deliver Borno and Yobe States to PDP, the ruling party. He has since been treated exceptionally with the Borno airport being opened for him despite it being shut for the governor and hajj pilgrims.
