The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star believes the popularity of the show has "evolved" through the family's presence on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
When asked if she would exist without social media, she said: "I don't think so... I don't think social media was that heavy when we started our show, but I think we really evolved with social media."
Kim, who has starred in the reality television show since 2007, also admitted that her love for social media comes from her love of sharing things.
"I love sharing my world with people. That's just who I am," she told Paper magazine:
Kim has over 25 million followers on Twitter and says that she is behind all her own tweets. She questioned why other celebrities have teams who use Twitter on their behalf.
"I've always just been open. I've been super-open with my life, and that's just who I am, and that's how my family is, too," she says.
Meanwhile, the 34-year-old reality television star previously revealed that her favourite area of social media is photo-sharing website, Instagram.
"I'm loving Instagram. I think you can be really creative, and a little more intimate. It has more texture than just words, obviously," she says.
