The latest iPhone 7 rumors now suggest that
Apple's upcoming device might sport a flush touch-sensitive Home button,
along with dustproof and waterproof metal casing.
The new set of rumors comes from Chinese website Storm,
which reports that the Home button of the iPhone 7 smartphone might get
a total revamp. It will thus offer users a touch-sensitive design with a
constant flush system backed by the haptic feedback motors, replacing
the classic physical "clicky" design, quite similar to the digital Home
and Back buttons we see in many of today's Android- and Windows-powered
devices.
Continuing, the same source notes that the chassis
of the forthcoming handset dubbed iPhone 7, which might be unveiled
later this year by Apple, will feature a matte black design that should
be water- and dust-resistant. However, it remains to be seen how
reliable this piece of information is, especially since we reported
earlier about a possible iPhone downfall in 2016.
iPhone 7 could be unveiled in September 2016
Apple is already using the haptic feedback
technology for the 3D Touch feature in its latest iPhone 6s and iPhone
6s Plus smartphones. If memory serves, Chinese site Laoyaoba and
Taiwanese website Business Weekly were spreading rumors back in 2014
that the iPhone 6 smartphone could have a haptic feedback screen, which
proved not to be true after all.
Therefore, we can't trust any of these rumors, at least not right now, especially since we reported
earlier about a new research note published by reliable Apple analyst
Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities. He predicts a downfall of the iPhone
sales in 2016, as Apple's next smartphone, iPhone 7, won't be a
game-changer and will not sport any attractive selling points. Moreover,
this is also because Apple's new iPhone SE is not really selling like
hotcakes, as the Cupertino company would have expected.
