So awkward! Ted Cruz made the most embarrassing mistake of his entire campaign on May 3. After announcing he was dropping out of the presidential race, the politician accidentally elbowed his own wife right in the face!
Ted Cruz, 45, has dropped out of the presidential race! However, he obviously couldn’t leave without giving the world one more moment to remember him by. On May 3, as the candidate was doing his final appreciative hugs, he accidentally elbowed his wife straight in the face. Yes, it was as embarrassing as it sounds.
Luckily, Ted’s wife, Heidi Cruz, 43, didn’t make a big deal of the incident, but you can tell he definitely got a good couple of hits in before realizing his mishap, poking her in the eyes before elbowing her in the nose. Her face says it all, and it looked like she was in a little bit of pain to say the least!
This was probably not the ending he had planned to his grand campaign, but then again, he probably didn’t plan for his grand campaign to end without a presidency under his belt. Ted will likely realize his mistake when watching the video back on the news later, because he looked way too busy and distraught to comprehend the fact that he basically punched his wife in the face.
At least he didn’t draw blood or anything, because I’m sure video of him accidentally breaking his wife’s nose would not go over well. I guess if that’s the worst thing that happened to him all night, then he can count himself lucky. It’s only a matter of time before the meme’s start pouring in.
This election has been an interesting affair for everyone involved. Ted put up a good fight this year. Even though his campaign ended with him succeeding to Donald Trump, 69, and video of him elbowing his wife in the face, he has nothing to be embarrassed about. Better luck next time, Ted!
