Scandal season 5 will return this Thursday
with episode 19 titled Buckle Up. After Jake's wedding to Vanessa,
Olivia is finally single with no on-again-off-again boyfriends left. But
the coming episode is not about her personal relationship dilemma as
she will be occupied with supporting Mellie Grant for her presidential
campaign.
In episode 19, Mellie and Susan will race
against each other to get the favour of Liz Baker, the influential
governor of Florida, in order to strengthen their candidature for the
post of the president of the United States.
The episode will also see one of the worst
professional fights between former best friends Olivia Pope and Abigail
"Abby" Whelan as they try to promote Mellie and President Fitz.
The official synopsis reads: "As Mellie, Susan
and Hollis prepare to meet with Florida's governor and vie for her
influential endorsement, a spin war between Abby and Olivia threatens to
keep their candidates grounded. Meanwhile, Cyrus is faced with a
decision that could dramatically alter his future."

In the previous episode,
Jake finally marries Vanessa but before taking his wedding vows, he was
expecting to lead a perfect "happily ever-after" life with Liv, which
was torn to pieces by Rowan Pope's daughter.
Who will win the big fight, Mellie or Susan?
Will Olivia be able to face Jake again after the "you were never
suitable for me" drama in the last episode? To find out the answers,
watch Scandal season 5 episode 18 that will air on 21 April at 9pm EDT
on ABC network.
